Earlier in the month the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was the talk of the town, with OLED TVs, smartphones and tablets dominating the headlines. However, Toshiba also used the event to launch the Satellite Ultrabook, one of a growing range of laptops which puts sleekness and power at the top of the agenda.

The Satellite Ultrabook is set to feature a 14 inch display, which is an inch larger than you would get from the other super-slim Windows laptops on the market at the moment.

Despite the size increase, you can be sure that the Satellite Ultrabook will be as wafer-thin as its contemporaries and with a brushed metal chassis, it should also be one of the most stylish options around.

Toshiba has not yet announced the hardware specifications for the Satellite Ultrabook, although at CES, a prototype running an Intel Core i3 chip was spotted. This could make its way to the retail version, but a power boost to a faster CPU might also be on the cards.

Intel and Microsoft are really pushing hard to get Ultrabooks out on the market in their droves and Toshiba is just one of the manufacturers willing to support their endeavours.
